Safety & Health

An independent Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Department overall manages the safety, health and environmental issues of our Group. The HSE Manager and his colleagues who are Registered Safety Officers and Safety Supervisors, lead project team staff and sub-contractors to execute the Safety Management Systems (SMS) at Corporate, Project and Sub-contractor Level.

Trainings, safety inspections, evaluation of job-related hazards, evaluation and control of sub-contractors, safety promotions, etc. are conducted regularly to fulfil our SMS. In addition, periodic policy and status review by the Management, and Safety Audit and Safety Review by external auditors are also adopted.

Our Group encourages the project supervisory staff to complete the Safety Supervisor Training and the job specific Safety Training Courses for having the adequate safety knowledges for implementation of the SMS for all projects.

Our Group also implements the Environmental Management System (EMS). Our flagship company – Shun Cheong Electrical Engineering Co. Ltd. (SCEE) has the accreditation to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 since 2010.

Graduates Training Program on Professional Engineers

SC cooperates with Hong Kong Institution of Engineers on the Graduate Engineers Training Scheme “A” Program in 2 sectors, Building Services Engineering (BSS) and Electrical Engineering (ELL), to provide registered graduate trainees with the opportunity to achieve the necessary reinforcement of theory with practice.

Course Sponsorship Program

To encourage our employee to pursue continuing education, a Course Sponsorship Program has been established over the years to provide appropriate sponsorship for those who wish to continue their studies so that they can enhance their professional knowledge and skills, and maximize their accomplishments within the Group.

Safety Training Course

SC is the legal agency approved by the HKSAR Labour Department to provide “mandatory safety training courses”. We regularly organizes training courses for our employee.
